Chair for Strategic Marketing, EBS Business School

With focus on the integration of excellent apprenticeship and research, as well as close contacts with business partners, the EBS Business School Chair for Strategic Marketing follows the integrative, process-related marketing concept.

Since 1995 Prof. Dr. Mattmüller holds Chair of the Strategic Marketing of the EBS University of Business and Law, EBS Business School and since 1996 he is head of the IMMF (Institut für Marketing-Management und Forschung e.V.). He is Professor for Marketing at the Sino-German academic association at the Tongji University in Shanghai as well as a member of various juries and committees. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Mattmüller heads several further education projects, as well as speaker for many companies and organization in Germany and abroad.

The central idea of the integrative, process-related marketing concept points out the dependency of all strategic stake holders of a company. These interdependencies require a more holistic approach of marketing which hereby gains a cross sectional function within the organization ensuring a consideration of all relevant internal and external target groups. Marketing has to be seen as a maxim of leadership and company in terms of the integrative concept. In addition the process-related understanding underlines the continuity of all marketing relevant decisions in the marketing process. The marketing concept also deals with organizational questions, e.g. questions about interface problems between marketing and sales and about the role of marketing departments in corporations.

Thus, marketing is not simply understood as an instrument but is especially regarded as a market orientated thinking and acting. Marketing can be seen as a leading philosophy as well as comprehensive organizational function.

The Chair for Strategic Marketing attaches great importance to a both-sided (integrative/process-related) and conducive relationship to its Partners.
